Maple Canyon Sport Climbing Trip

JULY 29-AUGUST 5 / AGES 13-18 / $950

Utah is the location of several world class climbing areas and this Touch the Sky trip will be visiting Maple Canyon, south of Salt Lake City. The type of climbing at this area varies from slightly overhanging to very overhanging conglomerate rock, full of cobbles, slopers and pinches. There are very few places in the country that boast this type of unique and beautiful rock.

This trip great opportunity for a climber who has had some experience on rock outside and is looking to broaden their horizons and climb in a unique area in the American West. The routes are long and pumpy and will provide loads of fun for the intermediate to advanced climber.

This trip will be camping at the Maple Canyon campground, which is within walking distance of much of the climbing. The location will have water, toilets, and picnic tables for cooking. The closest moderately populated city to Maple Canyon is Ephraim, Utah and is a short 20 mile drive from the campground. The group may travel here to visit a diner or get ice cream.
